Volunteer Opportunity with The Job Foundation Shopping Day April 20, 2024 @ Crossroads Mall food court entrance (2 hours shifts available) 11am-1pm, 12pm-2pm, 1pm-3pm, 2pm-4pm.
The Job Foundation has it’s every 3 months ‘Shopping Day’ coming up on April 20th. K-8 grade students in this program get access to their debit cards, create a spending plan, and then “shop” for wants/needs/gifts. They need volunteers who will go through the spending plan with each student and make sure their check register is balanced.
Each shift is for 2 hours and there are 4 times to choose from.
The Job Foundation is a nonprofit based in the Cedar Valley, serving low-income families in the Waterloo School district by teaching financial literacy lessons to K-12 grade students. They are not only teaching financial education, but they also have a state-certified mentoring program.
