The Waverly branch had some special guests on June 12, as local K-5th graders joined assistant branch manager, Dorothy Back for an hour of free financial literacy programming. Students were introduced to the "Money Monsters" and listened to a story about saving for something special (a bike!). We then worked together on some activities where we discussed what things we'd want to save for and how we can track a goal. The group then had some craft time where we DIYed piggy banks from mailing tubes. The kids had an awesome time and were excited about adding money to their banks! Waverly will be hosting our 2nd session on July 10th, where we'll learn about "what things really cost" and play games called Barter Island and Money Bingo!
